I sold my ES2 equipped 614ce for a 2010 model with ES1.3 because I couldn't take it anymore. The feedback on my 614 was driving me nuts. Maybe call Taylor support and see if they have a Re: Taylor Expression system 2. I totally agree with Edward, now owning guitars with both ES1.3 and ES2. The ES1.3 is a great system and certainly less invasive than the ES2. In addition, the ES1.3 is not dependent on a micarta saddle to sound good. If you like having a bone saddle, the ES1.3 is probably your best bet. The ES2 was a result of an discovery about the motion of a guitars saddle while vibrating during the process of playing. Conventional wisdom always said that the saddle vibrated up and down, so the piezo crystals were set under the saddle so as to best capture this bouncing up and down motion.
