It creates two setup files: an .exe and an .msi. In the .exe setup file, merge modules are included in a deployment project because they install the Crystal Reports runtime. However, if the Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Installer .msi file is used for installation on target machines, merge modules do not need to be added. Open Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (32-bit). Install the latest runtime on the machine. Back in IIS, select METTEAM and click Start in the right-hand Actions panel. Repeat step 8 with the METTEAM Customer Portal site. In past versions of Arena, Crystal reports was automatically installed during the Arena installation process. That is no longer the case. It is now a separate step in installing Arena 16.1. Install Arena by selecting the MediaImage folder > autorun.exe. Select Install Arena. Install Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime . To install the Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime component, perform the following: 1. Launch the CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.exe file. 2. Click Next to continue. 3. Click the radio button to accept the license agreement. 4. Leave the Product ID field blank. Click Next to continue. 5. Click Next to begin the installation. 6. Enter the installation key code into this PIDKEY parameter [INSTALLDIR=] is the path where the product files are to be installed. The C: drive represents the destination drive letter [COMMONVERDIR=] is the path where the common files are to be installed. Installing Crystal Reports 2016 Runtime You are prompted by the Optiva CD Browser installation program if Crystal Reports 2016 run-time is not already installed on the machine. Complete this installation from the Optiva CD Browser program. Re-requesting a license key for Crystal Reports 2016 Runtime The new Crystal Reports runtime is installed without completely removing the application. When an MSI file is used in a deployment project, it essentially segregates the CRVS2010 runtime from the application.
