The Baker Hughes drilling systems address technology requirements for re-entry or slimhole projects. This includes coiled tubing (CT) and through-tubing rotary drilling applications. These CT and re-entry drilling systems access new and/or previously bypassed pay zones economically, to maximize ultimate recovery, improve revenue, and extend PREPARE END OF COILED TUBING (CUT AND STRAIGHTEN AS REQUIRED). ONLY USE WRENCHES ON HEAVY WALL AREAS ON TOOL BODIES 6. This handbook was developed to help our clients determine which systems and services will best meet the needs of a particular application. For that reason, we have designed the handbook to highlight system capabilities within eight distinct intervention areas where coiled tubing can offer a highly effective and cost-effi cient alternative. Another company, Quality Tubing Inc., started manufacturing tubing in 1976 using a process similar to Southwestern Pipe. During the 1980's, CT materials and strings improved significantly, and the maximum practical CT size increased to 1.75 in. Coiled Tubing (CT) has been defined as any continuously-milled tubular product manufactured in lengths that require spooling onto a take-up reel, during the primary milling or manufacturing process. The tube is nominally straightened prior to being inserted into the wellbore and is recoiled for spooling back onto the reel. The coiled tubing BOP sits directly on the top of the riser with any crossovers that are required. This can either be a conventional quad BOP or a Quad with one of the newer style combi-BOPs. The combi's are shorter and create less stick-up. The stripper/packer or stuffing box is normally bolted to the underside of the injector head. Global Tubing's proprietary steel chemistry, experienced manufacturing and technical personnel, state-of-the-art mill technology and digital control systems deliver consistently higher quality products. Our coiled tubing spec sheets provide users with the related technical data including tolerances and mechanical properties of our high NOTICE: This Handbook has been prepared for the use of journeymen plumbers, pipefitters, refrigeration fitters, sprinkler fitters, plumbing and heating contractors, engineers, and others involved in the design or installation of plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and other related systems. Schlumberger has an optimal portfolio of services and technologies to perform efficient and effective coiled tubing (CT) interventions. Applications include matrix and fracture stimulation, wellbore cleanout, logging, perforating, nitrogen kickoff, sand control, drilling, cementing, well circulation, and mechanical isolation. ACTive real-time Physically, coiled tubing appears in drilling sites as a long metal pipe rolled over a huge reel. The pipe is usually made of steel or special composites that gives it the adequate flexibility to be wound around the reel without fracture. For the pipe diameter, it varies with respect to the dimension of the wellbore. COILED TUBING UNIT (CTU): Introduction: There are many different designs and configurations of Coiled tubing unit (CTU). Most have evolved over a relatively short period as the understandings of criteria critical to the reliability of CT services have become better unders
