The CAP Cadet Program is a year-round program where Cadets fly, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape, and push themselves to new limits. If you're dreaming about a career in aviation, space, or the military, CAP's Cadet Program is for you. To become a cadet, you must be be at least 12 years old and not yet 19 years old. Our cadets learn followership and leadership through: Many of the nation's astronauts, pilots, engineers and scientists first explored their careers through CAP. — Attracts over 25,000 members ages 12 through 20 for participation in its cadet programs. — Educates youth in four main program areas: leadership, aerospace, fitness and character development. The CAP Cadet Program is designed to motivate and develop well-rounded young people, who in turn will become model citizens and the future leaders of our nation. CAP cadets progress at their own pace through a 16-step program including aerospace education, leadership training, physical fitness and character development. Chain of Command (click link above to view squadron chain of command) About the CAP Cadet Program: Civil Air Patrol Scottsdale Composite Squadron 314 Cadet Programs. The cadets are mentored by adult, Senior Members, in leadership, aerospace education, moral character development, military customs and courtesy, search and rescue, and many other fun activities. Cadets also have opportunities for 5 orientation flights in powered aircraft CAPR 52-16, Cadet Program Management will become CAPR 60-1. The CAPF 50 series of Leadership Feedback forms will become the CAPF 60-90 series. Units are encouraged to slightly modify the titles used for two cadet staff positions to reflect current Air Force nomenclature. See pages 47 and 51. Section 2.4 has been revised to include use of the Civil Air Patrol's cadet program transforms youth into dynamic Americans and aerospace leaders through a curriculum that focuses on leadership, aerospace, fitness and character. As cadets participate in these four elements, they advance through a series of achievements, earning honors and increased responsibilities along the way. CAP cadets who attain the grade of Cadet Captain and are at least 17 years old may apply to serve as a junior ambassador to one of eighteen countries.
