WOW! I HAVENT BEEN TO REGGAE ON THE RIVER SINCE AROUND 1987. IT WAS MORE THAN A TRIP IT WAS A ADVENTURE. CAMPING OUT IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR 2 DAYS. IT WAS LIKE PARADISE, JAH WORLD OF RASTAS THAT CONTROLLED THE AREA AS WE WALKED LIKE KINGS AND QUEENS. HAVING THE BEST HERB AND MUSHROOMS JUST GIVEN TO YOU BECAUSE THE REGULARS WAS JUST HONORED  TO BE IN THE PRESCENCE OF RASTAS. MEETING AND BREAKING BREAD WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER WHOM YOU NEVER MET BUT FELT LIKE YOU KNEW THEM A LIFETIME. AFTER HELPING MAKE BABIES AND MOVING MY FAMILY TO ATLANTA GEORGIA OVER 15 YEARS AGO I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE REGGAE ON THE RIVER AGAIN, SO WHEN I HERE SOMEONE MENTION REGGAE ON THE RIVER I ALLWAYS THINK OF PARADISE OR HEAVEN ON EARTH. MEMORIES,MEMORIES AND REMEMBER WHAT GOES ON AT THE REGGAE ON THE RIVER. ALL INFO STAYS LOL

I used to attend Reggae on the River back in the late 80's and early 90's.  Back when the musicians were artists like Charlie Chaplin, Judy Mowatt, Burning Spear and Israel Vibrations and Prophet was the back stage Chef.  I had to step out of the Rasta world and the world of music partially to raising a family but mostly to take care of my health and conquer the illness and injuries I sustained. It has been a very long road and as treatments are coming to a close my heart and desires fall right back into reggae music and my passed life style, athough I have always carried Jah in my heart and prayers.   Funds to proceed in new founded adventures of my true heart are unavailable.  I would love to attend a current Reggae on the River as the music and culture of Rasta people are so healing a trip to the music festival would just be a cap on the healing and survival of the long journey I have been on.  I would hope to meet new friends and reuntie with Rastas I have not seen in a long time.  And hopefully get to meet a few of hte new artists as well as run in to a few of the old.  Thank you for the opportunity to enter.  Bless.

I never wanted to go to California where the earth shakes, even though the hurricanes in Florida are maaadness, but I have a video of KENYATTA HILL AND CULTURE performing right after his dad died and the vibes in the place were awesome. I'd like to experience that in person.

I think I should win tickets because I'm a massive reggae ska fan, been listening the genre with my dad throughout my childhood, I would love to take my dad as my friends aren't as interested and prefer rock and metal (why I've scraped to go to donnington download fest for the past two years). I haven't been to any proper reggae performances but I'll always remember sat on Hyde park Leeds for unity day with my dad and his Rasta friends under the reggae tent haha.
