The legendary producer and dub reggae pioneer, Lee 'Scratch' Perry returned to Band on the Wall on 15th March 2016, days before his 80th birthday. The crowd were in high spirits as Perry paced the stage, rhyming over the riddims of the band, which were dubbed by Mad Professor behind the controls.
The set featured many tracks from the seminal album 'Super Ape', which was released 40 years earlier in 1976. In this excerpt, Lee Perry performs 'War ina Babylon' from the 1976 classic of the same name, which he produced with Black Ark house band The Upsetters and vocalist Max Romeo.
