Greetings Reggae Nation!

Backattack Soundsystem is Zwolle's first hand-built roots reggae soundsystem, from the Netherlands. The system first played on 23 April 2016, at a release party in cultural workshop R10. Since then we have linked up with soundsystems from the Netherlands, the UK, New York, Washington DC, Berlin and Nicosia.

We play Jamaican roots, UK roots, dub and early dancehall on vinyl and dubplates, on our own 5-way stack. Since 2019 we have run our own sessions in Zwolle, with guests such as The Mighty Dread Warrior Machine, Roy Simeon and Slimmah Sound.

We are fully self-sufficient: we bring the complete soundsystem, DJ booth and crew, and all we need is power. For festivals we can host a complete area of our own, including stretch tents. We are available across Europe.
