AUGUSTUS Pablo Presents Rockers International, a compilation of songs first released in the early 1990s kicks off a series of re-issues from VP-Greensleeves Records.
First released in 1991 by Greensleeves, 'Rockers' contains songs Pablo produced for his label of the same name, including Delroy Williams' Three Men In A Truck Back, Jah Bull's Free Jah Children and The Rastaman by Earl Sixteen.
Pablo, an influential figure in roots-reggae and dub, died in 1999 at age 54.
In October, Gussie Clarke (Reggae Anthology) From The Foundation, will be released. This is a double compact disc accompanied by a DVD documentary looking at the producer's 45-year career.
VP released a 19-song Clarke retrospective in 2001 which had hit songs From his Music Works label.
December sees the reissue of Jacob Miller's Who Say Jah No Dread Limited Edition 7" Box Set. Who Say Jah No Dread, a compilation of songs produced by Augustus Pablo in the early 1970s, was first released by Greensleeves in 1992.
The 12 songs from the original have been re-mastered with the addition of new liner notes and 10 bonus tracks.
Miller was only 27 when he died in 1980 in a motor accident.
