WANT to be a legend and not hidden! Different expectations with the real sense. That Marapu, Reggae band formed in Yogyakarta on November 10, 2000, In the Language of Sumba [NTT] Marapu hidden meaning and became a legend.
"We want to be legend and not hidden," said Yanto [vocals], namely personnel Marapu Yanto [vocals], Diyan [guitar], Benny Ebenheizer [guitar], Dondho [bass], Iwan [drums], Neloz [keyboard] and Khoebiz [percussion].

A LITTLE ABOUT MARAPU
Marapu formed in a simple manner, the habit of gathering in the boarding-lodging and playing reggae music. Understandably they were originally immigrants and students living in Yogyakarta. Then they often play at campus events dab in the know as Reggae Band is quite famous in Yogyakarta.
In 2003, Marapu time to make a demo of three songs, Funky Rose, Repeated and Enough. The song is often played on radio stations in Yogyakarta and Central Java and some radio outside the island of Java, such as Makassar, Bali, NTT, Jakarta, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. A good response is what makes them finally dared to release Album # 1 in the year 2006, with the title ‘THE COLOURS’. In the year 2009 they re-launched the Album # 2 with the title ‘Peace, Love and Freedom’ with a CENTIL [Sassy] Hits ... though they are each the lyrics talk about Social Perdamaianm and love of the Universal Nature, on this album there are songs in ethnic arrangement in the song Eri Rambu the lyrics are very distinctive with the language of Sumba [NTT].
Existence Marapu as getting stuck powerful reggae band. In the year 2011 coincides with the 11 TH Anniversary Marapu, the band put out Album # 3 titled 'Terang Dunia' ['Light of the World']. This album contains seven songs different from the two previous albums. Besides being more easy listening, there's no love song tone. With the retainer Yanto (vocals), Benny (guitar), Dian (guitar), Dondho (bass), Iwan (drums), Nelozh (keyboards) and Koebizco (percussion), 'Light of the World' invites music fans to always be optimistic and happy in live your life. The material relied upon is the Tertawa [Laughter], Terang Dunia [Light of the World], Damai Disini [Peace Here], Enough, Wake Up and Back to Your Roots. According Yanto, 'Light of the World' is meant to embrace the music lover in a wider scale. Because, during this circulation Marapu album only limited interest among connoisseurs of reggae music. For the Light of the World, the circulation of a CD album they will be done by way of indie, because this way the value of idealism Marapu compromise musically. In launching an album that supported Indonesia Reggae Community (IRC), the Marapu feat with Mamox, Jogja Hip Hop Foundation personnel in the song Wake Up as hit singles.
Reggae think they are unique, as it is, populist and universal. "Create Marapu, Reggae bring the message of Peace, raise the degree of human social, anti-Racisme and discrimination".
