started out in 1990 when I got my first guitar from my father, by then reggae music was only a little mirage in portugal and the only reggae music we heard was Bob Marley, Ub 40 and with some luck Peter tosh...
In 1993 I man when to live in London where my creative skills really started to appear.. I then realize that I wanted to make music, but wasn´t sure what kind..
When in London, I use to hear the only tape that I brought from Portugal, a tape of Bob Marley with the albums Uprising and Confrontation. for some reason it made think of home, so naturaly I Listen to that same tape everyday..
With that,I saw my interest for reggae music grow, so I started to buy cds of artists such as I jah man Levi, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Gregory Isaacs, Alpha Blondy and many other, which opened up a new level of knowledge for me...
In 2001 back in Portugal I man and some friend got together and formed Like the man said, a band that was determined to change the ways of reggae music in Portugal. We wanted to break the afro-Reggae chain that was listen in Portugal, we wanted to take it back to the Roots..
in 2004 Like the man said release they´re first work, an EP called "Rude Awakening", which consisted in a mix between some Lovers Rocker and Roots Reggae..
In March 2009, Like the man said concentrated on the recording of their 1st Album "1NE". An explosive work and entrepreneur. Loaded with good vibes and great message, only achieved with the excellent delivery of the band in their 1st Album.
Is certainly a great fancy for lovers of Roots / Rock / Reggae.
Was significantly 9 months of gestation and toasts us with large holdings, Lutan Fyah, One Love Family, Jonah Timilah, and José Cabrita Raminhos.
It was recorded in Portugal and mixed and mastered in Spain with Cannas ( Indica Sound).
Conscious Reggae...
Since then I man been focused on my Productions, both Audio and Video, on a international level, working with artists such as ,Like the man said , Urban Vibsz from Portugal, Sista Caro,Sista Sensi from France and Madi Simmons from USA..
Currently working on I Debut Solo album..
