Ps2 implements the PS/2 keyboard/mouse serial protocol, used in legacy devices. It is similar to UART but there are only two lines (Data and Clock). PS/2 devices are 5V, so bidirectional level converters must be used to connect the I/O lines to pins of 3.3V boards. class ps2io.Ps2(data_pin, clock_pin) ¶ 2: 0x054C: Vendor ID (VID) (Sony Corp.) must be obtained from USB-IF (used by the operating system to find a driver for your device) 10: idProduct: 2: 0x02ea: Product ID (PID) - (PlayStation 3 Memory Card Adaptor) assigned by the manufacturer (used by the operating system to find a driver for your device) 12: bcdDevice: 2: 0x0100: Device Buy Cytron Playstation2 Controller Converter Shield for Arduino, Digital pin as UART TX and RX pin: Simple to use UART protocol Vibrator motor on PS2 is controllable. Jumper selector to select different UART Baud Rate (9600, 57600, 115200). Shrink Wrap for Wires Wire Protector Auto and Car Stereo Installs. The PS/2 mouse and keyboard implement a bidirectional synchronous serial protocol. The bus is "idle" when both lines are high (open-collector). This is the only state where the keyboard/mouse is allowed begin transmitting data. The host has ultimate control over the bus and may inhibit communication at any time by pulling the Clock line low. Interfacing a PlayStation 2 (PS2) Controller with Arduino I got a free PS2 controller, but with no PS2 to use it with I had to do SOMETHING with it, haha They made a bunch of controllers for their X-Box units which people began to realize that if you just splice a USB cable on the end of the proprietary connection then you could use the Xbox system February 23, 2008, 5:32am #1. Ok, wow, I have been trying to talk to a playstation controller using arduino. I am a novice so i think it is a tad hard for me. first of the clock speed of 16Mhz is way to fast, so I added a 1ms delay between high and low of clock to get a 500hz clock. the fallowing code should work, But It doesn't! How to reset a DualSense wireless controller. Turn off your PS5 console. Locate the small reset button on the back of the controller. Use a small tool to push the button inside the hole. Hold the button down for roughly 3-5 seconds. Connect the controller to the PS5 console using a USB cable and press the PS button. ATT = 5.6K ohm, voltage drop of 1.08V (3.92 to the controller) CLK = 5.6K ohm, voltage drop of 1.15V (3.85 to the controller) CMD = 860K ohm, voltage drop of 1.39V (3.61 to the controller) so you can give that a try as well. Though really, ignore the resistor on 5V and just connect the red power wire to 3.3V. It is compatible with the original PlayStation control pad protocol therefore it can be used with many Playstation 1 and 2 games. Namco PlayStation games like the Tekken series or Soul Edge/Blade were also labelled as compatible with the peripheral. 15 - SLPH-00014 / SLEH-00005 / SLUH-00017: KONAMI HYPER BLASTER: Light gun controller made by Align the ports of the adapter with the ports of the PS2 and plug it in. The adapter should snap into place with relative ease. 5. Tighten the screws on either side of the adapter to secure it place. A small Phillips-head screwdriver is ideal for this. 6. A Playstation controller has two analog mini sticks (Dualshock and DualShock2 only), 12 pressure sensitive buttons (Dualshock 2 only) and two digital buttons. One way to get one is to buy a game-port extension
