Low Impact Development (LID) Low Impact Development, or LID, is a design strategy using naturalistic, on-site Best Management Practices to lessen the impacts of development on stormwater quality and quantity. The goal of LID is to mimic the undeveloped runoff conditions of the development site with the post-development conditions. In 2014 the Part F of the Manual covers Bureau of Engineering sewer design. It presents the design criteria, standards, policies, and procedures to the new Engineer and provides a reference source for the experienced Engineer. These criteria, standards, policies and procedures are intended as guidelines. Each sewer project should be considered unique. What hydraulic program does the County use and how do I get it? Answer: While there are several different versions of hydraulic software available, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works primarily uses WSPG software available from a private vendor. The current Windows version is available at this website: Links: WSPG hydraulic software Structural Design Manual. Construction Manual. Project Delivery Manual. This manual provides a convenient guide for NDDOT policies, procedures, and design values that are presently recommended for road and bridge designers. Designers and other users should follow the policies, procedures, and guidelines; as well as other guidance and principles provided by AASHTO and other publications.
