April 2, 2020 The Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) measures two pervasive, independent dimensions of personality, Extraversion-Introversion and Neuroticism-Stability, which account for most of the variance in the personality domain. Each form contains 57 "Yes-No" items with no repetition of items. The inclusion of a falsification scale Eysenck & Eysenck (1975) introduced the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) as a major revision of the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI; Eysenck & Eysenck, 1968). The EPQ is a response both to theoretical development (by adding a psychoticism scale to the previously introduced extraversion and neuroticism scales) and psychometric criticisms.
